About us

Hello, we are Maddalena and Achille. For over a decade, we have renovated an old farmhouse perched on the Rocca di Baiedo, Pasturo, in the beautiful Valsassina, surrounded by mountains and just a stone's throw from Lake Como.

We created two rooms with every comfort, spacious yet cozy. We added a barbecue area and a hot tub. We offered rich breakfasts and local products, all surrounded by our blueberry fields and breathtaking views.

For a long time, we welcomed travelers from all over the world, first as a Bed and Breakfast and later as a farmhouse, who wanted to relax or enjoy trekking and the local ski resorts. Today, we happily host family and friends, but we are always delighted to meet new people. Feel free to contact us!

Il Mirtillo is located in a strategic position, offering breathtaking views and being fully immersed in nature.

We are just a 20-minute drive from Lake Lecco and Lake Como, and only 5 minutes from the Italian school of mountaineering, ski mountaineering, and climbing of Lecco, Valsassina, and Orobie. The ski slopes are just a few kilometers away, and numerous spectacular trekking trails start right behind the house.

We offer every desirable comfort, from a wellness spa area to a barbecue zone, from excellent local food and wine products to spacious bedrooms furnished in an unmistakable and cozy mountain style.

Valsassina

Valsassina is renowned for its stunning landscapes, for its hikes in the Orobie Lecchesi, which rival the beauty of the most famous Alpine destinations, and for being excellently connected to Milan and all its amenities (just an hour's drive!). Here, you can ski, climb on some of the favorite mountains of great Italian mountaineers, but also relax, immerse yourself in nature, and enjoy delicious food. There is something for everyone, from adrenaline to relaxation.

Today, we host our friends and family at Rocca di Baiedo, but this doesn't stop us from meeting new people who share a love for this wonderful place.
